  • Introduction & Background
The Ford Mustang has its origins dating back to 1964 when it was first introduced to the American market as the "pony" sports car. Since then, it has evolved into one of the most iconic American sports cars in automotive history. The seventh-generation Mustang, codenamed S650, was unveiled in September 2022 during a special event at the Detroit Auto Show known as "The Stampede." This new generation was designed to be released as a 2024 model year vehicle.

The seventh-generation Mustang retains the classic Mustang silhouette, making it instantly recognizable with its traditional "long hood, short deck" proportions. The updated Mustang boasts a modern interior layout, featuring a fighter-jet-inspired dual-screen setup. The software on the screens allows drivers to choose a digital instrument profile that replicates the green-backlit, analog gauges reminiscent of the nostalgic late-1980s Fox body Mustang. On the exterior, the seventh generation showcases a distinct concave rear end design, representing a significant aesthetic shift from its predecessors.

Specifically, the GT model trim is equipped with a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine that produces 480 horsepower. Notably, the GT continues to offer the enthusiast-favorite 6-speed manual transmission, in addition to a 10-speed automatic option.
